It is safe to travel to Laos. The locals are incredibly warm and welcoming to visitors, and you can enjoy a safe and secure journey with comparatively low crime rates. While exploring this beautiful country, it's important to stay cautious and implement common-sense safety measures, as you would in any other foreign destination.  

Travelers who need to apply for a Laos e visa should make sure they meet Laos visa requirements before finalizing their trip arrangements. Prior to submitting an application for an electronic visa to visit Laos, visitors should gather the following supporting documents:

• 01 passport scan /person (You can take a picture of the biographical page of the passport). Applicants should note that their passports should be valid for at least 06 months from the intended arrival date in Laos.
• There should be at least 2 blank pages available for stamping.
• 01 photograph (any size you have) / person (the filename is your full name). The photograph should be taken as recently as possible.
• An email address. After being issued by the Government, the eVisa will be sent to this email address in PDF format. 
• Once applicants make sure that they prepare enough required documents above, they can begin the visa application process.
