Do Taiwanese need a visa to Uzbekistan?

Taiwanese citizens do not currently need an e-visa to visit Uzbekistan. Since July 2020, Uzbekistan has implemented a visa-free policy for Taiwanese passport holders, allowing them to enter the country without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days. This move is part of Uzbekistan's broader effort to boost tourism by simplifying entry requirements for various nationalities.

For Taiwanese travelers, this means Taiwanese travelers can explore Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage, including its historic cities along the Silk Road, without the need for prior visa arrangements. Upon arrival, Taiwanese visitors need only present a valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining beyond their planned departure date.

While the visa-free stay is valid for up to 30 days, any stay beyond this period will require a visa. Additionally, if you plan to stay in Uzbekistan for more than three days, you must apply for a visa. Travelers can visit the Uzbekistan Embassy to arrange an interview for a visa. Hotels typically handle this registration for their guests, but if staying in private accommodation, you’ll need to register yourself at a local migration office.

With the visa-free policy in place, Taiwanese visitors can enjoy a hassle-free experience when discovering Uzbekistan’s vibrant culture and historical wonders.
